Fibre samples arrived today - have spun them up already. Tara - carded and plied - wonderful. Jasmine - not enough to card so spun direct. Quite fuzzy but lovely too. Should I wash the white? Sorry not to e-mail - my isp is letting mails in, but I can't get them out!
Gosh, you are a fast worker! Yes, you could wash Tara'a white bit if you think it will improve the appearance. I'm going to have to think up some pretty special projects to do this handspun wool justice! Thank you so much!
After honeymooning in Harris and watching too many episodes of "Build a New Life in the Country" we moved to a little croft on the Isle of Lewis, just over 2 years ago. Now we are actually embarking on our dream of becoming...alpaca farmers!
They are just amazingly gorgeous. Can't wait to see them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and for giving us a big mention on your blog!
ReplyDeleteSee you on Saturday.
P.S. Sample in the post - you should get it today!
